2. The SignalDojo marks

“SignalDojo”, the SignalDojo icon, the SignalDojo logo and their distinctive combinations are claimed as unregistered trademarks and project marks of Tiago Alvarez Calderon Newton. In this policy they are called the “SignalDojo Marks”. Use of the ™ symbol indicates a claimed mark and does not state that a mark is registered.

3. Uses allowed without permission

You may use the word mark “SignalDojo” truthfully and in a non-misleading way to:

• refer to, discuss, review, teach or report news about the SignalDojo project;
• link to signaldojo.org or the official TiagoACN/SignalDojo repository;
• state that your software, plugin, workflow, file or service is compatible with SignalDojo;
• state that a modified work is “based on SignalDojo” or “derived from SignalDojo”;
• show unaltered screenshots for documentation, commentary or truthful product comparison; and
• identify unmodified copies of an official release, provided you preserve notices and do not imply that you are the project operator.

These uses must be accurate, visually subordinate to your own name or brand, and must not imply endorsement, certification, sponsorship or official status.

4. Modified distributions

You may modify and distribute the GPL-covered software. Unless you have prior written permission to use the SignalDojo Marks for that distribution, a modified build must:

• use a different primary product name, application icon and logo;
• identify itself prominently as unofficial;
• identify the party responsible for the modified build and support;
• describe material changes so users can distinguish it from an official release;
• avoid using “SignalDojo” as the leading or dominant part of its name; and
• avoid any suggestion that the build was tested, approved, supported or published by the SignalDojo project.

A clear description such as “ExampleLab Analyzer — based on SignalDojo” is normally acceptable when ExampleLab’s own branding is primary and the presentation is not confusing.

5. Official releases

An “official SignalDojo release”, “official installer” or equivalent designation means a release published by the project maintainer through signaldojo.org or the TiagoACN/SignalDojo repository. Third parties may redistribute compliant copies under the GPL, but may not describe independently produced or altered packages as official.

6. Uses requiring written permission

Prior written permission is required to:

• use a SignalDojo Mark as part of another product, business, company, service or commercial offering name;
• register or use a domain name, social-media account, application-store listing or repository name likely to appear official;
• use the SignalDojo icon or logo on a modified distribution;
• produce merchandise primarily branded with a SignalDojo Mark;
• claim endorsement, certification, partnership, sponsorship or official status; or
• use a confusingly similar name, icon or logo.

7. Community groups and events

Independent, non-commercial community groups may use a descriptive name such as “SignalDojo User Group — Lima” if the group clearly states that it is community-run and not affiliated with or endorsed by the SignalDojo project. Do not use the official icon as the group’s primary logo without written permission.

8. Presentation guidelines

• Spell the word mark as “SignalDojo” with a capital S and D.
• Do not modify, recolour, distort, crop or combine the official logo or icon with another mark in a way that implies a joint identity.
• Do not use a SignalDojo Mark in a misleading, defamatory or unlawful context.
• Do not remove trademark, copyright or licence notices from unmodified project materials.

9. Permission, questions and reports

Permission may be limited, conditional, non-exclusive and revocable if its conditions are breached. To request permission, report confusing use or ask about this policy, email tiagoalvarezcalderon@gmail.com with the proposed wording, artwork, distribution channel and context.

This policy may be updated to clarify permitted use or respond to project changes. Existing written permissions remain governed by their own terms.
