PROJECT IDENTITY

Branding is separate.

The GPL rights stay intact. Unofficial modified builds should use a different primary name, icon and logo, identify their changes and responsible party, and never imply project approval. They may accurately say “based on SignalDojo.”

Is SignalDojo really free?

Yes. The official application is available without a trial, subscription, licence server or mandatory payment. Donations are optional.

Can I modify and redistribute it?

Yes, under GPL-3.0-or-later. Distributors must comply with the GPL, including the applicable corresponding-source and covered-modification requirements.

Can a modified build still be called SignalDojo?

The software rights and project branding are separate. Unless permission is granted, unofficial modified distributions should use distinct branding and may accurately describe themselves as “based on SignalDojo.”

What makes an installer official?

An official installer is a build published by the SignalDojo project maintainer through the designated website or source-code release channel. Others may independently build and redistribute the software under the GPL.

Do donations change my rights or features?

No. A contribution is optional support for development. It does not unlock features, change the GPL licence or create special redistribution rights.
